SF6 (sulfur hexafluoride) gas is widely used in high-voltage electrical equipment (such as GIS devices, transformers, and circuit breakers) due to its excellent insulation and arc-extinguishing properties. However, excessive moisture or abnormal density in SF6 gas can lead to equipment insulation failure, corrosion, or even safety accidents. The SF6 Micro-moisture And Density Meter Module is a compact, high-performance monitoring device designed to solve this problem. It integrates advanced sensing technology and data transmission functions to provide real-time, accurate measurements of moisture content (dew point) and gas density in SF6 systems, helping maintenance teams detect risks early and ensure the stable operation of electrical equipment.
Equipped with a imported ceramic moisture sensor and a pressure-based density sensor, the module delivers industry-leading measurement accuracy: ±0.5% RH (relative humidity) for moisture (dew point range: -60°C to +20°C) and ±0.2% FS (full scale) for density. It also has strong anti-interference capabilities, resisting electromagnetic interference from high-voltage equipment to ensure data reliability.
Supporting RS485/Modbus and IoT wireless protocols (LoRa/Wi-Fi), the module can transmit measured data to a central control system or mobile APP in real time. Users can view moisture, density, and temperature data remotely, eliminating the need for on-site manual inspections and improving maintenance efficiency.
With a size of only 80×60×30mm, the module can be easily installed in tight spaces inside SF6 equipment (e.g., GIS cabinets). Its shell is made of flame-retardant ABS material, which is resistant to high temperatures (operating temperature: -30°C to +70°C) and corrosion, adapting to harsh industrial environments.
Ideal for monitoring SF6-insulated equipment in substations, such as GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), SF6 transformers, and circuit breakers. It helps power companies prevent equipment breakdowns and reduce unplanned power outages.
Suitable for SF6 gas systems in wind power converters and solar energy storage equipment, ensuring the safety of high-voltage components in renewable energy projects.
Used in SF6 gas chambers of industrial lasers, semiconductor processing equipment, and precision welding machines to maintain stable gas quality and avoid production defects.
A1: Under normal operating conditions, calibration is recommended every 12 months. If the module is used in harsh environments (e.g., high dust, high humidity), the calibration cycle should be shortened to 6 months to ensure measurement accuracy.
A2: Yes. It supports standard Modbus protocols, which are compatible with most industrial SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. Our technical team can provide integration guidance if needed.
A3: First, check the wiring (for wired connections) or Wi-Fi/LoRa signal strength (for wireless connections). If the issue persists, reset the module by pressing the reset button for 3 seconds. If the problem remains, contact our after-sales team for troubleshooting.
